A Spanish court has rejected a request from Real Madrid to access Barcelona's financial records from 2003 to 2021, including audits related to the 'Negreira case'.
According to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the judge ruled in favor of former Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu. He had petitioned the court to block access to these documents, citing the club's right to privacy. Bartomeu is currently a defendant in this investigation.
Judge Alejandra Gil Lima dismissed Real Madrid's request, stating that the investigative measures sought by the club's representative were unjustified. Consequently, the court has prevented the release of sensitive financial reports and audits to the rival club.
