British driver Lewis Hamilton, seven-time world champion of Formula 1, suffered a crash on the second day of testing with his new Ferrari team in Barcelona, but, according to media reports, he emerged unscathed and unharmed. Hamilton (40 years old) lost control of the 2023 Ferrari car and crashed into barriers on the Catalonia track, not receiving any injuries in the incident. An insider from Ferrari told French Press agency that Hamilton "feels great" and continues to explore the possibilities of the red car. Currently, the "legendary" Hamilton is sharing a car with a teammate in the team, the Monaco driver Charles Leclerc, in preparation for the 2025 season, starting in March with the Australian Grand Prix. Last week, Hamilton signed a two-year contract with Ferrari after successful tests at the Fiorano track alongside the Ferrari headquarters in Maranello. Ferrari will present its new car on February 19 in Fiorano, the next day after the ceremonious launch of the Formula 1 world championship in London, dedicated to the 75th anniversary since the moment the competition started in this class.
