
Argentine player Julián Álvarez scored the first goal in the provisional 2-0 victory against Barcelona in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals. The goal came when the former River forward was visiting, and just a few minutes after the game started, he took advantage of a long pass from Antoine Griezmann to infiltrate behind the rival defense and score 1-0 with a shot from his foot.
Subsequently, six minutes later, Álvarez made a brilliant play from midfield by masterfully assisting Griezmann, who finished inside the area to make the score 2-0 in favor of the Spanish team.
