Barcelona will return to its 'Camp Nou' stadium after more than two years of renovation work beginning on the 7th to hold an open training session for the public, the Spanish football league's second-place club announced on Friday. The Catalan club said in a statement: 'The men's first football team at FC Barcelona will officially return to the Spotify Camp Nou stadium on November 7th to hold an open training session for the fans (Blaugrana).' The initiative will serve as a 'practical test' for the current Spanish champion before the partial reopening, which has been postponed several times, by the end of 2025. Barcelona set the entrance fee at 5 euros for season ticket holders and 10 euros for the general public, and all proceeds will be donated to the 'Polseres Blaugrana' charity project that supports children's mental health in hospitals. Attendance of around 23,000 spectators is expected, according to the Barcelona City Council, which set the maximum audience capacity at 27,000, prompting the club to continue playing at the Olympic Montjuïc stadium while awaiting permission to return to 'Camp Nou' in front of 45,000 spectators. Barcelona estimated the cost of the full renovation of its stadium, which will have a capacity of 105,000—a European record—at 1.5 billion euros.
