Barcelona Returns to Camp Nou

FC Barcelona has officially returned to its home stadium. This Saturday, in the 13th round of LaLiga, the club will host Athletic Club at Spotify Camp Nou. After 915 days of construction work and a wait that far exceeded initial deadlines, the return was confirmed after receiving the green light from the Barcelona City Council upon reviewing the documentation for Phase 1B of the project, without finding any deficiencies that would delay the first-occupancy permit. For this reunion with its stadium, 'Barça' will open an attendance of 45,401 spectators, a figure similar to the one managed at the Lluís Companys Stadium. Phase 1B, which led the club to postpone the return despite having had authorization since October, now allows for the addition of the entire Lateral area to the Tribune and Gol Sud sections. Furthermore, key improvements have been incorporated, including more positions for people with reduced mobility, new comfort spaces, renovated locker rooms, and a completely new access tunnel for the players. The return to Camp Nou also implies an immediate economic boost, with the opening of VIP sections and premium spaces such as the Players Zone and the Balcony.
