FC Barcelona has announced that its next match in the UEFA Champions League against German Eintracht Frankfurt will be held at Camp Nou. According to British news agency PA Media, Barcelona will finally return to its home ground tomorrow to face Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, after an absence of more than two years. The club revealed yesterday that it is permitted to play its European matches at its iconic stadium when it faces Frankfurt on December 9th, after obtaining the necessary license to increase the stadium's capacity. The match against Bilbao will be attended by only 45,401 spectators, primarily because the renovation work has not yet been completed. The renovation of the stadium, with the goal of increasing its capacity to 105,000 spectators, began in mid-2023.
