The Spanish rider Jorge Martín was crowned the new MotoGP champion after finishing third in the Barcelona Grand Prix. The victory in the Catalan race went to Italian Francesco Bagnaia, who is just 10 points behind the leader in the overall standings, closely followed by Marc Márquez, who finished in second place.

Martín successfully achieved third place in both the Saturday Sprint race and the main race throughout the weekend. After overcoming difficult injuries and crashes throughout the season, the Spanish rider expressed satisfaction by saying, "I had major injuries and a lot of crashes, but we finally did it."

In the final standings, Jorge Martín led with 508 points, followed by Francesco Bagnaia with 498 and Marc Márquez with 392. Márquez secured his sixth MotoGP title, surpassing Italian Enea Bastianini by seven points.

During the race, Martín was closely pursued by Márquez from the start, having started in second position. The race also featured other prominent riders such as Alex Márquez, Aleix Espargaró, Brad Binder, Enea Bastianini, Franco Morbidelli, Marco Bezzecchi, and Pedro Acosta, who finished further down the order.

Jorge Martín stood out for his great consistency throughout the season, achieving seven victories in Sprint races and three Grand Prix wins. He accumulated a total of 16 podiums during the year, which allowed him to win the MotoGP title and dethrone Bagnaia, the reigning champion. An emotional Martín thanked his loved ones and everyone who supported him after being proclaimed champion.

In the Barcelona Grand Prix, there was absolute dominance by Francesco Bagnaia, who maintained the lead from start to finish, achieving victory in the race.
