Cádiz Carnival 2025: Everything You Need to Know

The COAC 2025 begins on January 23 and runs until February 13 at the Gran Teatro Falla. 134 groups will participate in an exciting competition. Follow all the performances on Onda Cádiz TV and other platforms.


The Official Competition of Carnival Groups of Cádiz 2025 began on January 23 at the Gran Teatro Falla in the Andalusian city. The preliminary performances will extend until February 13. Each day, except for Saturdays, six groups will present on stage, with seven on Saturdays.

The performances start at 20:00 hours and are held at the Gran Teatro Falla. The event is fully broadcasted by Onda Cádiz TV. Among the participating groups are different comparsas, chirigotas, choirs, and quartets. - ***"Cádiz, the show" (Choir)***, from Cádiz. - ***"Sociedad Anónima" (Comparsa)***, from Morón de la Frontera (Seville). - ***"Los butaneros chirigota de CAI/CDC" (Chirigota)***, from Cádiz. - ***"Un clásico nunca falla" (Quartet)***, from Cádiz. - ***"La Chulita" (Comparsa)***, from Cádiz. - ***"El que pueda que empate" (Chirigota)***, from Cádiz. - ***"El loco de los empeños" (Comparsa)***, from Algeciras (Cádiz).

The COAC 2025 can be followed live through various television, internet, and radio platforms. The festival is broadcast by Canal 38 and Vodafone TV (channel 702), while online it can be watched on Onda Cádiz Digital (Livestream), Onda Cádiz Carnaval (YouTube), and Onda Cádiz TV (Twitch). On the radio, the performances can be heard on the 92.8 dial.

From the quarterfinals onwards, the competition will also be available on Canal Sur and Andalucía Televisión. In total, in this qualifying phase, 22 performances will be presented with the participation of 134 adult groups, distributed across 58 comparsas, 52 chirigotas, 19 choirs, and five quartets. Next Saturday, February 1, a new session of preliminary performances will be held with six groups on stage, including three comparsas and three chirigotas.
