Beatriz Gómez Hermosilla, chief inspector of the National Police and former elite athlete in archery, has resumed her sports career while fulfilling her police duties. After six years away from competition due to work, studies, and motherhood, Beatriz has returned to practicing archery while investigating cybercrimes. Recently, she clinched victory in a competition in Guadalajara, her hometown.
At 38 years old and with two small children, Beatriz has found balance between her police career and her passion for archery. With a successful sports career that includes 31 gold medals, 9 silver, and 12 bronze, Beatriz has rejoined the national archery team and has returned to competing at the regional and national level. Despite obstacles such as the pandemic and her pregnancies, she has resumed her sports career with determination and enthusiasm.
In addition to her achievements in sports, Beatriz has been awarded by the United States Secret Service for leading an operation that dismantled a multi-million euro fraud. She currently competes in Olympic archery leagues in Castilla-La Mancha and has expressed her desire to participate in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Her husband and children have been a significant support in her journey to balance motherhood, her police work, and her return to elite sports.
