The Yucatecan delegation, led by Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena, began a work tour in Madrid, Spain, accompanied by businesspeople and officials. This visit aims to promote the economic and tourist development of the state.

One of the highlights of the tour is the promotion of the Port of Altura de Progreso as a key initiative to position Yucatán as an important logistics and commercial center in the region. The goal is to attract investments in sectors such as aerospace, agro-industrial, logistics, and tourism.

Additionally, there is an emphasis on the state’s industrial corridors and the exportable offer of Yucatán to diversify and strengthen the local economy. The delegation has planned meetings with key actors in the business and diplomatic spheres to explore cooperation opportunities in various economic and commercial areas.

The comprehensive strategy seeks to position Yucatán as a global investment and tourism hub, consolidating its presence in international markets and promoting social and economic development in the region.

The delegation comprises representatives from various sectors, such as tourism, trade, agri-food industry, aerospace, energy, and foreign trade. Furthermore, key officials from the state government, such as the Secretary of Economy and Labor, the Secretary of Tourism Development, and the General Coordinator of Advisors, among others, are present on the tour.
