
Noticias Argentinas participates in the International Tourism Fair (Fitur), one of the most prominent global events in the sector. The 45th edition of the fair was inaugurated today in Madrid, and it is expected to receive more than 250,000 visitors. King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia were present at the opening ceremony, which will take place at the IFEMA Exhibition Center until Sunday, the 26th.
The fair features 9,500 companies and 156 countries, with 884 main exhibitors presenting their tourism offers across nine pavilions. Argentina has its stand located in Pavilion 3. This year, Fitur has increased the number of official representations to 101, five more than last year, and 11 more countries are participating compared to 2024, according to sources linked to the organization.
Fitur offers a wide agenda of interactive activities ranging from live musical performances from different regions, tastings of traditional cuisine, awareness days on accessibility, craft workshops, contests, and business networking. Additionally, visitors can obtain direct information about the tourism offerings of destinations worldwide.
This event is key for tourism professionals and is a leader in the receptive and outgoing markets of Ibero-America. Fitur is increasingly specializing in boosting the various industrial sectors related to tourism and promoting innovative tourism strategies. The IFEMA venue in Madrid, where the fair is held, offers first-class facilities including 12 exhibition pavilions, a convention center, meeting areas, an auditorium, restaurants, and extensive parking areas.
The consortium organizing Fitur is composed of the Community of Madrid (31%), the City Council (31%), the Chamber of Commerce (31%), and the Montemadrid Foundation (7%). This consortium is dedicated to organizing fairs, exhibitions, and conferences at the exhibition and congress center located in the Barajas district, northeast of Madrid.
