King Felipe VI of Spain made an unexpected visit, accompanied by his wife Letizia, to the Argentine stand at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) being held in Madrid until January 26. This surprising presence of the Spanish monarch in the Argentine space caught attention, as he usually only visits the stands of the honored guest countries of the fair.
At the Argentine stand, the King was welcomed by Daniel Scioli, Secretary of Tourism, Environment, and Sports of the Nation, and toured the different tourist proposals that Argentina offers. 13 Argentine provinces and several highlighted destinations are participating in FITUR 2025, ranging from the Patagonian glaciers and the vineyards of Mendoza to the beaches of Mar del Plata and the Misiones jungle with the famous Iguazu Falls.
At the stand, 60 Argentine tourism sector entrepreneurs are present, who have commercial desks to establish agreements and promote the country's tourist destinations. Likewise, the Argentine Chamber of Tourism reported that another 60 entrepreneurs are holding commercial meetings in different areas of the fair, reflecting Argentina's strong commitment to consolidating its position in the global market.
