Two Fatal Accidents in Madrid Amid Increased Alcohol Control

Two serious accidents occurred in Madrid, resulting in one motorcyclist's death and a pedestrian's serious injury. The incidents happened on the same night on María de Molina street, while the traffic police are conducting a major campaign for alcohol and drug testing.


The head of the Madrid Provincial Traffic Police, Cristóbal Cremades, reminded last Monday that alcohol consumption remains the second most frequent concurrent cause in fatal accidents, present in 28% of fatal accidents recorded in 2024.
