Eva Granados Galiano was appointed Secretary of State for International Cooperation at the Council of Ministers held on December 5, 2023. Her political work has focused on improving social protection, promoting employment, and building the common Spanish project. Granados worked in the area of corporate social responsibility at Alstom (2007-2010) and has been on leave since then. She served as the Spokesperson for the Socialist Parliamentary Group in the Senate from 2021 to 2023, as a deputy in the Parliament of Catalonia (from 2010 to 2021), and as a member of the National Secretariat of the UGT of Catalonia (from 2002 to 2010), representing it in the Labor, Economic, and Social Council of Catalonia and of Spain. At the university, she promoted the Fundació Solidaritat-Universitat de Barcelona for the defense of human rights. She holds a degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Barcelona and an Executive Master in Public Management from ESADE.
