Singer Julio Iglesias has filed a lawsuit against Spain's Second Vice President and Minister of Labor, Yolanda Díaz, for «insulting and defamatory» comments regarding the lawsuit filed against him for alleged sexual abuse, which was dismissed by the Prosecutor's Office.

In his filing with the Madrid Court of First Instance (Civil Section), to which EFE had access this Tuesday, the singer, through his lawyer, requests a conciliation hearing in which the minister acknowledges the harm, retracts her statements, and compensates him for the damages caused «based on the dissemination reached by the insulting and defamatory behavior».
