Feijóo Demands the Resignation of Sánchez in the Government Crisis

The opposition leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has demanded the resignation of the head of government, Pedro Sánchez, amid the scandal of harassment and corruption. The Podemos membership supports 90% of the proposal to reduce rents and break ties with Israel. Feijóo criticizes the hypocrisy of the Executive and calls for unity for a better future in Spain.

The membership backed the party leadership's proposal with 90% of the votes, despite the scandals surrounding the PSOE and its minor partner in the coalition government, Sumar, following the resignation of its spokesperson in Congress due to allegations of sexual harassment.

The opposition leader has demanded Sánchez's resignation, emphasizing the recent scandal that arose from a photograph of the president with Víctor de Aldama at a rally. Feijóo has criticized the government's hypocrisy and has called for building a solid alternative for Spaniards, without divisions.

In a National Executive Committee, Feijóo raised questions about the relationship of Ábalos and insisted on Sánchez's resignation to avoid prolonging the country's "agony." He expressed support for women victims of assault and sexual harassment and urged overcoming the polarization generated by the government.

Feijóo has denounced corruption in the government’s environment and criticized the lack of transparency and the maneuvers to remain in power. He stated that the legislature will last as long as necessary, although it should not have started, and questioned the actions of the Executive amid the scandals.

Feijóo's speech highlighted the importance of listening to affected women and pointed out the government’s inconsistency in remaining in power at all costs. He called for a serious alternative and criticized the lack of decent options from the Executive.
