According to information provided by 'El País', the State Attorney's Office, which represents the Attorney General, believes that the actions of entry and search, cloning, dumping, and seizure of mass storage devices have caused significant harm to the Attorney General's Office and to the chief provincial prosecutor of Madrid. These actions could be considered irreparable according to the State Attorney's Office.
The instructor authorized, on October 30, the intervention and/or copying of any computer material that may serve as evidence. On the other hand, the association of prosecutors APIF has requested that member of the Fiscal Council Salvador Viada be called to testify, who witnessed García Ortiz with prosecutor María Ángeles Sánchez Conde reviewing a mobile phone during the search.
APIF has also requested the review of security camera recordings from the Prosecutor's Office building to clarify the situation of the meeting between the prosecutor and the investigated person. Additionally, the dumping of email accounts, social media profiles, and other information on García Ortiz's servers was authorized, limiting the analysis to one week in March.
Both the State Attorney's Office and Deputy Prosecutor María Ángeles Sánchez Conde have appealed the searches carried out. The Attorney General of the State, Álvaro García Ortiz, has requested the annulment of the entry and search in his office, as well as the seizure of his electronic devices, claiming disproportion in the actions taken.
