Mbappé did not show his best performance in the match against Atlético Madrid, which was well neutralized by the opposing super defense. His performance was less decisive than in previous encounters, especially against Manchester City, where he forgot in the first game and made a hat-trick in the return leg in the qualification for the 1/8 final. Ancelotti noted: "Playing against Atlético is not easy for an attacking player. They did not show all their qualities; it's a fact, but they have a match to correct this."
