Real Madrid's player Ferland Mendy will be sidelined for 3 to 4 weeks due to a muscle injury in his left thigh sustained during the derby against Atletico Madrid. This is his third muscle injury this season.

The news that the French defender Real Madrid Ferland Mendy will miss three to four weeks due to a hamstring injury to his left leg was announced on Thursday. The injury occurred in the match against "Athletic" in the Champions League. The club stated that after examination conducted by the medical staff, Mendy was diagnosed with a left hamstring injury.

Journalists reported that Mendy will miss about three or four weeks. He will only be able to return for three matches – against "Villarreal" and "Leganes" in the championship, as well as a match against "Real Sociedad" in the Copa del Rey. He will be able to return for the quarterfinal of the Champions League against "Arsenal". In the case of absence during the month, Mendy can play only in the corresponding match of the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

It is important to note that this is already the third muscular injury for the French defender this season. In the previous two cases, he missed games for 11 and 12 days respectively.
