Mbappé to miss Real Betis match due to knee injury

Real Madrid coach Chaby Alonso said yesterday that forward Kylian Mbappé will miss today's match against Real Betis in the Spanish La Liga due to a knee injury, but he is aiming to play in the match before the Spanish Super Cup final against Atlético Madrid. Mbappé (27), captain of the French national team, who equalled Cristiano Ronaldo's record by scoring 59 goals in one year during the 2-0 win over Sevilla in La Liga on December 20 last year, is suffering from a twisted left knee. Alonso also said in a press statement: "We will do our best to get him back as soon as possible." He added: "We will definitely miss Kylian. We have to trust a lot in the players who will play tomorrow (today)".
