Atlético de Madrid officially announced on Monday the signings of Mexican midfielder Obed Vargas and Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman at the end of the transfer window. The 'Colchoneros' club reported that both players successfully passed their medical tests and will join for the next four and a half seasons, tied to contracts until June 30, 2030. Vargas, a 20-year-old Mexican international, is leaving the Seattle Sounders, the MLS club where he debuted in 2021. Meanwhile, 28-year-old Lookman played for Fulham and Leicester before joining Atalanta in 2022. He had previously also played for Leipzig and Everton.
