According to an investigation by the Argentine News Agency, the squad trained at the Ciudad Real Madrid with their focus on the match they will play at the Balaídos stadium. The body announced the punishment for Argentine Franco Mastantuono, who was sent off in the final stretch of the match against Getafe. As recorded by referee Muñiz Ruiz in the official report, the player approached him shouting and repeated the phrase twice: "What a disgrace, what a fucking disgrace." The training session began with physical tasks in the gym, then the group moved on to the field of play, where the players were divided into rondos and performed ball possession exercises. Later, the coaching staff set up transition work and specific position-based tasks, while the practice concluded with a small-sided six-on-six match. However, the coach could not count on several players: Antonio Rüdiger, David Alaba, Álvaro Carrera, and Eduardo Camavinga trained inside the facilities, while Jude Bellingham, Dani Ceballos, Kylian Mbappé, and Éder Militão continue their respective recovery processes. To these complications are added new sanctions confirmed by the Royal Spanish Football Federation's Disciplinary Committee after matchday 26 of the championship. Based on that report, the committee resolved to apply the maximum possible sanction within that disciplinary framework. The official document states: "2-match suspension for Disrespectful or inconsiderate attitudes towards referees, managers or sports authorities, with accessory fines under Article 52 of the Disciplinary Code.. (Article: 124)". In addition, the body confirmed that Álvaro Carrera and Dean Huijsen will have to serve a one-match suspension for accumulation of yellow cards after being cautioned in the match against Getafe.
