Minutes before nine in the morning, a murder occurred that appeared to have been planned, and as more details emerged, premeditation was confirmed. The victim, with a criminal record, was violently killed with all the characteristics of a hit: a gunman who acted without hesitation and an accomplice waiting on a motorcycle for the escape. The Mossos d'Esquadra arrived at the crime scene to begin an investigation and track down the perpetrators, who had fled.
The man was shot in the neck by a gunman. A companion of the victim confirmed that it was the same person. David C. had been the president of the Barceloneta Futsal club. A farewell message was shared on the club's social media. During the 1990s, the deceased had played for the F. C. Barcelona futsal team in the first division. Despite the proximity of the café to a school, students were already inside the building when the crime occurred.
After the alert of the suspected murderers fleeing on a motorcycle, the Mossos d'Esquadra activated an operation to try to capture them without success. At the crime scene, a pool of blood remained as a witness to the violence that had taken place.
