The Segovian family of entrepreneur Jesús Núñez, with a fortune of 1.5 billion euros, tops the list of the wealthiest in Castilla y León. Their company, Gesbolsa Inversiones, manages real estate and financial assets. Their fortune originates from the sale of Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio.

The Segovian entrepreneur Jesús Núñez Velázquez and his family, owners of Gesbolsa Inversiones, are the only fortune from Castilla y León featured on Forbes España's list of 'The 100 Richest Spaniards', with a sum of 1.5 billion euros.

Specifically, Núñez Velázquez and his family rank 29th on the Forbes list, which indicates that the sum of the 100 Spanish fortunes in 2025 amounts to 258.870 billion euros, representing a 7% increase from the previous year.

Additionally, the publication provides a list of the ten wealthiest people in Castilla y León, led by Iberdrola's president, Ignacio Sánchez-Galán, with 340 million euros.

With a fortune of 1.5 billion euros, Jesús Núñez and his family own the company Gesbolsa Inversiones, registered with the CNMV. Through this company, they manage real estate and financial assets.

However, Forbes specifies that the majority of their fortune comes from the sale of Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio, which was finalized in 2019.

The Segovian Jesús Núñez has always been linked to the education sector, which has earned him numerous recognitions. Ignacio Sánchez-Galán, president of Iberdrola, tops the list of the richest in Castilla y León with 340 million euros; followed by Tomás Pascual Gómez-Cuétara, owner of the Pascual group, whose father was born in the Segovian municipality of Fuentemizarra. His son Javier is in tenth place with 135 million euros. The Bejarano Eduardo Santos Ruiz, owner of the Bodegas Barón de Ley wineries, ranks fourth with 245 million euros, ahead of the Leonese María José Álvarez Mezquíriz, president of the Valladolid-based Eulen group, who has 235 million euros. Members of the Burgos-based Antolín group, Ana and Ernesto Antolín, are in sixth place with 175 million euros; the same amount as their relatives Helena, Emma, and José Joaquín Antolín. In eighth place is Jesús Núñez Velázquez alone, with 170 million euros; and in ninth is Manuel Piñera Gil-Delgado, owner of the Scholtz Group, with 160 million euros.
