This Thursday, January 30, the circulation of vehicles with certain restrictions is prohibited in Mexico City and the State of Mexico to reduce environmental pollution.
The restriction applies to cars with hologram 1 and 2, as well as to vehicles with foreign license plates that do not have a verification hologram. The measure also affects cars with green stickers and license plate endings 1 and 2.
On the other hand, cars with hologram 00 and 0, electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as cars with local or foreign registration that have a tourist or border resident pass, can circulate without restrictions.
In the words of the authorities, these measures are necessary to improve air quality in the metropolitan area and avoid fines for motorists who fail to comply with the regulations.
