Fenway Sports Group, the owner of Liverpool FC, has ended its interest in acquiring Spanish club Getafe CF. This decision was made due to the high cost of the deal and the financial constraints imposed by La Liga on smaller clubs. Sources report that negotiations reached a standstill over these matters. Consequently, Getafe will remain under the ownership of its current proprietor, Chinese businessman Chen Xiaotian, who acquired the club in 2021.
