French Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé was awarded The Best FIFA Men's Player 2025 at a ceremony in Doha on Monday. In a pre-recorded message, appearing with a crutch on his left hand due to a fibula fracture suffered in training with the Spain national team, he thanked for the award and congratulated the other winners. The 28-year-old from Vernon, a former Barcelona player, replaces Real Madrid's Vinícius Jr. in the award's history. In the prize's classification, Aitana Bonmatí finished ahead of her teammate Alexia Putellas and Spanish international Mariona Caldentey, an Arsenal player and former Barcelona teammate.
