Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso has confirmed that French star Kylian Mbappé is ready to feature in the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona after recovering from a knee injury. The forward was omitted from the squad that traveled to Saudi Arabia, where Real Madrid defeated their neighbor Atletico Madrid 2-1 in the semi-final on Thursday, setting up a fiery Clásico with rivals Barcelona. Speaking to the press in Jeddah, Alonso said: "Mbappé is much better, he is feeling good, and he has the same chance to play as his teammates." The coach added that Mbappé will link up with the team for the upcoming match. The 27-year-old is Real Madrid's top scorer this season with 29 goals in all competitions across 24 matches. Meanwhile, Barcelona, the defending champions, defeated Athletic Bilbao 5-0 in the first semi-final on Wednesday.
