Barcelona's midfielder Fermín López, who scored a brace in the team's 2-4 victory over Slavia Prague in the Champions League, stated that his team deserved to take all three points, as they did "a great job".
"It's not easy to play in this cold. We had a great match and secured an important victory," the Andalusian player told Movistar Liga de Campeones.
Fermín deemed the victory "important", as it allows the Blaugrana to keep the goal of direct qualification to the Champions League Round of 16 alive. The team can secure this spot by winning in the final matchday against Copenhagen next week.
"We knew it would be a difficult match due to the cold on the pitch. Your feet, hands, and whole body hurt, but it's no excuse. They made it difficult for us with their goal, but we managed to come back. They then equalized, and we approached the second half better," analyzed the Spanish international, who regretted that his team couldn't keep a clean sheet.
Earlier, it was reported that German goalkeeper Ter Stegen has been loaned to Girona.
