It is worth noting that Barcelona was one of the founding clubs of the European Super League project, alongside the Spanish Real Madrid. The European Super League is a proposed annual football tournament for European clubs, featuring 20 clubs. This league was designed to include 15 founding clubs that participate permanently, with another 5 clubs changing each season based on their performance in the previous season of European national leagues.
