Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa dismissed the idea that his team's approach at the Etihad Stadium will be defensive due to the three-goal advantage from the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16. He made it clear that they have "no other objective than to go out and win."
"We have no other objective than to go out and win, which is what this badge demands, with the same sacrifice and commitment as the first leg, even more so because this pitch is not easy at all," he stated.
"We are very aware of the difficulty of the match, the opponent, the players, the coach, the stadium we are in, and we can't have anything else in our minds than if we want to win the match, we have to give our best level, even more so than in the first leg," Arbeloa added.
"I want to see the same Real Madrid as in the first leg. City's fans are going to push them a lot, and our mentality is to go out and win with humility and ambition," he affirmed at a press conference at City's stadium.
"We have to seek the level of commitment, solidarity, effort, and sacrifice to do them a lot of damage, just like in the first leg," he concluded.
