The Official Contest of Carnival Groups (COAC) 2025 will take place at the Gran Teatro Falla during the Carnival of Cádiz, with preliminary performances starting on January 23 and ending on February 13. Each day, except Saturdays, six groups will perform on stage, and the event will start at 8:00 PM.
During these preliminaries, a total of 22 performances have been scheduled, involving 134 adult groups, including comparsas, chirigotas, choruses, and quartets. The order of participation has been established according to different categories, highlighting the diversity of locations from which the groups come.
On the third day of this contest, which will take place on Saturday, January 25, the performances will start at 8:00 PM, and the order of participation will be as follows: "Los gamberros" by Samuel Gallardo Alcalá from Morón de la Frontera, "Los muchachos del congelao" by Antonio Pedro Serrano Álvarez from Cádiz, "Viaje a la vida" by Jesús Martínez Mestre from Seville, "Los pimpinelas de la Plaza Fragela" by Jesús Manuel Selma Martín-Murga and José Antonio García Molina from Chiclana de la Frontera, "La Resistencia" by David Márquez Mateos from Cádiz, and "Las Anticuarias" by Roberto Fabio Gómez Durán from Cádiz.
The COAC 2025 will be broadcast live through various television, internet, and radio channels. It can be followed on Onda Cádiz TV, Canal 38, Vodafone TV, Onda Cádiz Digital, Onda Cádiz Carnaval, Onda Cádiz TV, as well as listened to on the radio at frequency 92.8. From the quarter-finals onwards, it will also be available on Canal Sur and Andalucía Televisión.
