On the other hand, Los sherijuegos, another gaditana chirigota, has lyrics by Juan Manuel Braza Benítez, known as the Sheriff.
La fábrica de chocolate, a choir from the Cádiz Carnival, features lyrics by José Manuel Pérez Martínez and Yurena Reyes González, music by Manuel Varo Pérez and José Manuel Cardoso Romero, and is directed by José Manuel Cardoso Romero. Meanwhile, the comparsa En busca del tiempo perdido has lyrics by David Domínguez Gutiérrez, better known as the Principito.
Regarding the group DesOBDC!, whose music is by Juan Manuel Braza Benítez, it presents the musical talent of Alejandro Villegas Jiménez and Juan Miguel Villegas Mejías, alias Gueli. All functions of the agrupaciones competition at the Gran Teatro Falla during the Cádiz Carnival begin daily with between six and eight groups.
Another comparsa from Cádiz called ¡Si alguno quiere guerrilla! has music by José Miguel Romero Martínez and Juan Antonio Sánchez Carrasco, directed by Alejandro González Ferrera. In Ceuta, the chirigota Cádiz los que van a cantar te la sudan, also known as los disléxicos, has lyrics by Juan Miguel Villegas Mejías Gueli and Juan Miguel Villegas Jiménez.
The preliminaries of the competition will take place at the Gran Teatro Falla in Cádiz from January 23 to February 13. All functions start at 8:00 PM and are held at the Teatro Falla in Cádiz. Both the preliminaries and the Grand Final are broadcast live through Onda Cádiz TV. The performances are also aired on Canal 38 and Vodafone TV, and are available on various online platforms such as Onda Cádiz Digital, Onda Cádiz Carnaval, and Onda Cádiz TV. The COAC 2025 can also be enjoyed on the radio at 92.8 FM.
In this qualifying phase, a total of 134 adult groups participate in 22 functions of the contest, which include 58 comparsas, 52 chirigotas, 19 choirs, and five quartets.
