The City Council of Córdoba has decided to consider a series of accommodations as homes instead of allocating them for other purposes. The measure involves the planning of more than 7,000 new protected homes in the city. The deadline for issuing a document that includes all the land and properties available with these characteristics expires before June 4.
The new decree also establishes that land promotions that include at least 250 protected homes and a plan that guarantees their construction in less than five years will be integrated into the Project Accelerator Unit (UAP). Within the framework of Partial Plan 0-3, the construction of 264 protected homes out of a total of 1,057 homes is planned.
On the other hand, the Partial Plan O-4 in Huerta Santa Isabel, although geographically close to 0-3, is further along in its administrative process. The regional decree for protected housing arrives at a favorable time for Córdoba, as the city is experiencing significant development in its key urban projects.
Some of the identified locations to promote these homes include Pretorio, Carlos III, Fuensanta, Miraflores, Azahara, Fontanar, and Tablero Bajo. These spaces, along with others, could increase the supply of affordable housing in the city.
The objective of the Junta's shock plan is to construct 20,000 protected homes in the next five years, including the launch of the new neighborhood Puerta de Córdoba. The recently enacted regulation aims to facilitate the development of more affordable housing both for sale and rent.
Additionally, the decree expands the permitted income parameters to access these homes and projects the construction of another 2,000 affordable units in Puerta de Córdoba. It also highlights the 'Vives' plan, which aims to rent 600 homes in different areas of the city specifically for young people.
In conclusion, the new decree from the Junta de Andalucía establishes measures that encourage the construction of affordable housing in the province of Córdoba, thus contributing to increasing the supply of protected homes and addressing the demand for affordable housing in the city.
