The footballer Raúl Asensio, central defender of Real Madrid, broke the silence regarding the accusation of distributing a sexual video of a minor for which he was charged, although he did not participate in the act. Asensio, 22 years old, refused to provide more details about the incident, in which four people recorded and shared the scene without the young girl's consent to more than 32 people.
In a match between Real Madrid and Real Mallorca, right-back Pablo Maffeo, called up by Lionel Scaloni for the Argentina National Team, shouted insults at Asensio related to the case. After the incident, the defender decided to briefly address the situation in an interview, marking thus his first public statement on the matter.
"I think everyone is aware of what they do, and for that part, I am very calm," Asensio commented in the television interview. Despite the controversy surrounding him, the player has maintained his performance within the Madrid team, achieving his first call-up to the national team.
