The English team Arsenal arrives at this match almost qualified for the round of 16, with the possibility of sealing their passage with a draw or even a loss. In contrast, the Spanish team Girona is already eliminated from the competition.

Probable lineups for this match include Gazzaniga, Francés, López, Il, Blind; Romeu, Herrera; Tsygankov, Van de Beek, Gil; and Ruiz for Girona; and Raya; Timber, Kiwior, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Ødegaard, Jorginho, Rice; Sterling, Martinelli, and Havertz for Arsenal.

The live broadcast of the match will be available in Argentina through Disney+.

The Champions League has revamped its format by eliminating the 32 participants in eight groups to introduce a competition that will feature 36 teams competing in a league phase. All teams will face each other in eight matches, half as home teams and the other half as away teams.

At the end of this stage, a general table will be created where the top eight teams will qualify directly for the round of 16, while the teams ranked ninth to twenty-fourth will compete in playoff rounds to determine the final eight teams advancing to the next phase.

Teams ranked 25th and below will be eliminated from the competition with no chance of accessing the Europa League, unlike previous editions.
