Unknown Natural Route in the Province of Segovia

Content creator Azahara González suggests a charming natural route in the province of Segovia, just an hour from Madrid. The trail passes through canyons, an abandoned village, and ends in the cozy town of Valdeprados, offering a perfect opportunity to relax and connect with nature.

Canyons, viewpoints, charming villages, and trails that seem straight out of a storybook become the perfect excuse to disconnect from the routine. Following this, content creator Azahara González proposes a «natural route» in the province of Segovia, just an hour from Madrid, that invites you to walk without haste, letting the murmur of the water set the pace, and to connect with nature. On her TikTok account @photographer.flyingbird, she details that during the hike, «we will discover a natural canyon on an impressive cliff» about 300 meters long and up to 40 meters high. After advancing a few kilometers, the abandoned village of Guijasalbas appears, although the enclosure is fenced and access is not possible, so the route continues back along the outbound trail. The day culminates in the cozy village of Valdeprados, a small but charming enclave, perfect, according to Azahara, «to disconnect and relax after the hike». «It will leave you speechless with the vertiginous views from its viewpoint,» she states. During the walk, hikers find «beautiful wooden bridges where the sound of water will accompany us at all times». The VACL041 (6 Ávila) line also passes through the area, connecting the locality with other points in the province. Special mention is also deserved by «the ruins of an old water mill where vegetation is taking over the place,» a setting enveloped in an atmosphere that takes you back to the past. A route for everyone: how to get to the start and where it ends. To access the area, you have to cross two iconic bridges: the one over the Moros River and the one of the Lovers, González's favorite. In fact, the nearest bus stop is precisely Valdeprados (N-110 Junction), located just a few meters away and accessible in less than a minute's walk. The characteristics of the route not only make it highly attractive but also accessible to almost anyone, highlights the content creator. Practical data of the route: Type: linear, 7 kilometers. Recommendation: it can be enjoyed at any time of the year, although the author advises doing it in spring and autumn due to the beauty of the landscape. After all the recommendations, Azahara concludes her message with a request to all her followers: that of responsible tourism. «When you are in nature, take care of it as it deserves, pick up your trash and leave everything the same or better than it was, so that the only footprint you leave is that of your boot,» she sentences.
