A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Valladolid after assaulting a 17-year-old minor, breaking his mouth with a bottle. The arrest occurred thanks to the intervention of the victim's father, who came to his son's defense.
The assault took place around 3:00 PM last Thursday near Plaza de Lola Herrera. The police received a call alerting them about a fight in the area and, upon arrival, found an older man lying on the ground with another man on top of him holding him by the shoulders.
The father declared that he was the parent of the assaulted minor, who had been attacked along with two other individuals by the assailant while training in Parque de la Paz in Las Delicias. According to testimonies, the accused hit the minor twice with a bottle, causing a bleeding injury to his cheekbone and the loss of two teeth.
The victim had previously arranged to meet one of the assailants, who was joined by three relatives to attack him. The father, present at the scene, intervened to protect his son and managed to hold the assailant on the ground until the police arrived.
Additionally, the victim provided photographs of the other two men who were with the arrested man, which allowed the agents to identify them quickly. The assailant was taken to the Provincial Police Station after being arrested by the Local Police based on the reported events.
