Clarifying the doubts raised among internet users, David Jara decided to publish a second video providing details about the recently found devil fish. The specimen was spotted by a group of researchers off the coast of Tenerife in early February. According to Jara, the fish in question was a black devil or adult abyssal anglerfish, with a size not exceeding six centimeters.

In his statements, Jara mentioned that the devil fish posed no threat during the discovery. Surprisingly, the specimen was spotted on the surface of the water during the day, which is an unusual phenomenon for this species. The photographer shared his astonishment at this discovery and the uncertainty about the reasons behind the fish's presence in waters so close to the surface.

The sighting of the devil fish went viral on social media, sparking users' curiosity due to its peculiar and mysterious appearance. Jara explained that the devil fish was found while conducting research on pelagic sharks in the Tenerife area and highlighted that the specimen found was a female. After the sighting, the devil fish passed away, and its body was donated to the Tenerife Museum of Nature and Archaeology for study.

The photographer shared unprecedented images of the devil fish, showing its small size and detailing the circumstances of the discovery. Jara also speculated on possible reasons that could have led the fish to the surface, such as illness, the influence of currents, or fleeing from a predator. He thanked the collaboration of the research team and emphasized the importance of this discovery for the scientific community.
