Tony Dalton on New Spanish Cinema Law and His Marvel Character

Actor Tony Dalton, known for his role as Jacques Duquesne / Swordsman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), commented on a recent Spanish film initiative. In an interview, he expressed his support for the new cinema law approved by deputies, which guarantees national films a two-week theatrical run. "I think it's very good, I hope they comply with it," Dalton stated. He emphasized that he views his work as just that—work—without distinguishing between local and international projects. Dalton, who has been playing the character of Jack Duquesne for five years across different series, discussed his selectivity in choosing roles. "The key is to find things that are worth doing, just like anywhere else," he said. He added, "My work is already done, and I believe getting into what people say about your work cannot be very good for your mind." Regarding his character's evolution in the new season of 'Daredevil: Born Again', Dalton noted that Jack is now "a bit tougher, a bit more violent, with a bit more action." He expressed gratitude for being part of the Marvel universe and is enthusiastic for the public to see the new season, which he describes as having a much darker and more violent tone.
