Rodrigo Orcajo, a doctor, expressed his discomfort over the unauthorized dissemination and monetization of an interview in which his relationship with the false psychiatrist Marilyn Cote was discussed. Orcajo stated that the situation was exploited by individuals outside the medical field for personal gain.
In his statement, Orcajo emphasized that he had not authorized the dissemination of the interview or the use of his image or personal data. He criticized the editing of the interview, as it distorted his original testimony. He highlighted the importance of maintaining ethics in the medical profession and preserving the privacy of sensitive patient information.
Although he did not explicitly mention his colleague Octavio Arroyo, known as Mr. Doctor, many users inferred that he was referring to him, which was later confirmed in comments. Orcajo accused Mr. Doctor of revealing personal data without authorization and of conveniently editing the interview material.
In the interview, Orcajo publicly denied Marilyn Cote's claim that he was her husband, stating that their professional relationship ended when Cote fell in love with him, leading to the suspension of the treatment. Orcajo also expressed his solidarity with possible victims of Cote, including himself in that group.
Additionally, Orcajo reported that he had taken legal action against those he holds responsible for the unauthorized dissemination of the interview. He expressed his desire for authorities to investigate the case and sanction those who endanger the health of patients. So far, Mr. Doctor has not publicly responded to Orcajo's accusations.
