The national deputy of VOX, José Ramírez del Río, along with the head of Organization, José Ramón Márquez, visited Almodóvar del Río, where alerts were raised about security issues related to illegal occupation and the increase in crime. According to the party's report, Almodóvar del Río is one of the municipalities in Córdoba experiencing the highest rise in criminality in recent months.
Ramírez explained that it is necessary to toughen the laws to facilitate the eviction of squatters and support the Security Forces and Corps to address these situations. Additionally, the reinforcement of Guardia Civil personnel in the province was requested, as the real increase in staff is questioned due to transfers to other provinces or retirements.
The VOX deputy linked the rise in criminality in the locality to cases of illegal occupation, attracting problematic individuals that disrupt the safety of the residents of Almodóvar. Ramírez pointed out that the party has been warning about this situation for many years and advocating for stricter laws to combat criminal actions such as the occupation of homes. In Ramírez's words, "The need to reinforce the Guardia Civil staff is another essential pillar to combat this situation."
