Spain defeated Serbia 3-0 in the first of two friendly matches before the World Cup. The Spanish team played with great authority and seriousness, with debutant Víctor Muñoz scoring a goal. After Muñoz's goal was ruled out for offside, Serbian resistance was short-lived. Spain quickly regained control of the ball and created several dangerous opportunities. Ferran Torres and Muñoz combined again to score the third goal, shortly after which Milinkovic-Savic prevented a fourth with a double save. Despite numerous substitutions, Spain maintained its dominance and secured a convincing victory.
