A source from Spanish club FC Barcelona has denied any plans to sign Manchester City's Portuguese star Bernardo Silva, who turns 32 in August, in the first comment on the Portuguese star's expressed desire to play for Barcelona. Barcelona took the opportunity during the Spanish national team's friendly match against Egypt on Tuesday to comment on the matter. The source stated: "Barcelona was interested in Silva's services in the summer of 2022. But Silva's time is over. He is no longer of the same age or fitness.
