Celebrating 18 Years of Domus Beer in Toledo

Domus, a craft beer company from Toledo, celebrates 18 years of brewing. With 12 varieties, including the new Domus Kriptonipa, they focus on quality and culture. Events like tastings highlight their commitment to craft beer, showcasing their journey from a garage start to international exports.

Fernando Campoy, a brewer from Toledo, has managed to turn his passion for beer into a successful business. He founded the company in 2003, after years of testing that led him to embark on this adventure. Although the company has been in existence for 18 years, Campoy has been brewing beer for 20 years.

The flagship variety of the company is Domus Toledo, to which Campoy has a special affection, as it is a blonde beer named after his city. Domus has 13 varieties of beer, among which Domus Kriptonipa and Domus Aurea stand out, the first IPA produced in Spain. Another popular variety is Domus Santo Tomé, a six-degree abbey beer that is gaining followers for its tasty and easy-to-drink flavor.

Campoy aims to expand the presence of his beers internationally and desires for them to be recognized worldwide. Initially, he started his project in a 90 square meter garage in the Santa Bárbara neighborhood, but over time he moved to a larger location in the Industrial Park.

The Domus brand, which means house in Latin, offers a range of beers with 12 fixed options, recently expanded with Domus Kriptonipa. Campoy has dedicated himself to traveling to various countries, such as Belgium, Germany, and the United States, in search of inspiration and knowledge in the craft beer world.

The company has ventured into the international market and currently has a presence in Switzerland and Luxembourg, with expansion plans towards Poland and Puerto Rico. Campoy, humbly, highlights the teamwork of the six employees in the company, who have contributed to the success of Domus. Moreover, he has reopened a Tap Room at the factory facilities so that the public can taste his beers and enjoy cultural and musical events.

Campoy has also served as a tasting judge at international beer festivals for the last 15 years, which has allowed him to know and learn more about this sector. The export of his beers represents 7% of the company's total revenue. Despite his success, Campoy continues to maintain his passion and enthusiasm for craft beer, always seeking to innovate and break into new markets.
