The National Police Union Jupol has reported on social media the collapse of part of the ceiling in a police station in the city of Valencia and has demanded measures to correct this deficiency due to the 'risks' that agents face on a daily basis in these facilities. 'The ceiling is falling during the recording: this is the working condition of our National Police colleagues in the cell area of the Zapadores police station in Valencia,' they described in a comment along with the video posted on their social networks. The images show the damage caused by the incident, with part of the panels and other fragments detached and scattered on the floor, and standing water. 'Jupol has submitted a document first thing in the morning to the Valencia Security Board (JS) to urgently relocate all affected personnel due to the risk they are running,' they added. A few days ago, Jupol also denounced the precarious working conditions of National Police officers in Alicante due to the lack of bulletproof vests for many of them, following an attack on an officer at the train station by an armed individual carrying a knife and a utility knife. In that case, the victim was knocked down by the man who confronted him, and the union warned that there are 600 personnel in the province who do not have the aforementioned vests as a safety measure against this type of aggression.
