
Adigital, a Spanish association representing more than 500 companies in the digital field, and BID Lab, the innovation and entrepreneurial capital arm of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), have decided to join forces in a long-term collaboration. The aim of this alliance is to promote the use and development of responsible artificial intelligence (AI) as a driver of economic development in Latin America.
Both organizations will work together to promote the adoption of ethical and sustainable AI technologies in the region. They will focus on fostering initiatives that encourage the application of AI in a responsible manner, ensuring inclusion and respect for human rights in all processes.
In the words of Paloma Castellano, president of Adigital, "this agreement represents an important step in the commitment of digital sector companies to promote fair and equitable technological development in Latin America." Castellano highlighted the importance of collaborating with BID Lab to boost responsible AI in the region.
For his part, Gabriel Charles, representative of BID Lab, pointed out that "this strategic alliance with Adigital will allow us to advance the implementation of AI-based solutions that promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Latin America."
The collaboration between Adigital and BID Lab is presented as a significant milestone in promoting ethical AI in the region. Both entities will work together to develop projects that contribute to the economic and social growth of Latin America, always under the principles of responsibility and respect for society.
