New Investment Project in Casarrubios del Monte

The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has approved a new priority project in Casarrubios del Monte, promoting an investment of 9.2 million euros by Altan Pharmaceuticals. This initiative aims to create 27 direct jobs and increase production capacity by 150%.


The Government of Castilla-La Mancha approved a new priority project in Casarrubios del Monte, Toledo. The Minister of Development, Nacho Hernando, highlighted the initiative of the company Altan Pharmaceuticals, which will involve an investment of 9.2 million euros. This project will generate 27 new permanent jobs and 54 indirect ones, in addition to increasing productive capacity by 150%.

On the other hand, Hernando mentioned that this project is in addition to another approved earlier, called 'Columbus', in 2021. This consisted of creating a new plant for the manufacture of 100% recycled PET bottles, with an investment of 21 million euros and the creation of ten direct jobs.

Regarding other approvals, the green light was given to the expansion of two business activities in the province of Toledo. One in Villanueva de Alcardete, for the reception, conditioning, and packaging of nuts and olives, and another in Villafranca de los Caballeros, for the expansion of a waste center with a concrete manufacturing plant.

Additionally, the Commission for Land Planning and Urbanism of Toledo approved the punctual modification of the planning of the municipality of Carranque, with the aim of being more efficient in urban administration. According to Hernando, this will involve adapting several ordinances to current regulations.
