The CNBC network published a list of the 25 most expensive football clubs in the world for the current year. The average value of the clubs on this list amounts to 2.76 billion US dollars. The 25 most expensive clubs were able to earn 520 million dollars in revenue and 54 million dollars in net profit before tax payments for the past season.
The highest position in the list is taken by the football club Real Madrid, valued at 7.6 billion dollars. The club from Spain generated 1.13 billion dollars in revenue. In second place is the English club Manchester City, with a revenue of 902 million dollars. As noted in the report by financial analysts Deloitte for the year 2025, Real Madrid's revenue has increased by 26% compared to the 2022/2023 season, thanks to the completion of renovations of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
In the previous year, the report from Real Madrid indicated a profit of 174 million dollars from winning the Champions League, which the team won in 2024 for the first time in the last 15 years. It is expected that the two clubs included in the list will increase their revenues thanks to the improvement of stadium revenue - these are the Spanish Barcelona and the American Inter Miami.
According to CNBC's assessment of global football clubs, including 11 English clubs, three of which rank in the top 5 due to massive television contracts of the English Premier League, the value of which amounts to about 4.4 billion dollars a year. The second place in the list of the most expensive clubs is occupied by Manchester United, valued at 6 billion dollars, followed by Barcelona (5.5 billion dollars), Liverpool, and Manchester City (2.5 billion dollars).
Among the other clubs in the list from 6th to 25th place are Bayern Munich, PSG, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Newcastle United, Inter Milan, AC Milan, West Ham United, Aston Villa, Fulham, Los Angeles FC, Los Angeles Galaxy, Inter Miami, Eintracht Frankfurt, Brighton, and Napoli.
