The coordinator of the Accionar.io platform, Damaris Espinosa, pointed out that the protest was interrupted by the arrival of more than twenty government officials, who prevented them from continuing. According to Espinosa, this incident affected the scheduled demonstration and generated tensions between the protesters and the authorities present at the scene.
"We were surprised by the intervention of these government officials, as our protest was authorized and was taking place peacefully," declared Espinosa. The presence of the authorities caused discomfort among the protesters, who felt that their right to express themselves freely was being curtailed.
The organizers of the protest denounced this intervention as an attempt at censorship by the government and expressed their intention to continue fighting for their demands. Despite the interruption, Espinosa stated that they are considering new strategies to make their voices heard and continue their social mobilization.
